Colonoscopy

Colonoscopy is a diagnostic procedure to examine the colon or large intestine. Colonoscopies screen for colon polyps and prevention of colorectal cancer.

Flexsig

Flexible sigmoidoscopy is a procedure in which a narrow tube with a light and tiny camera on one end looks inside your rectum and lower colon.

Cap Endo

A capsule endoscopy camera sits inside a vitamin-size capsule you swallow. As the capsule travels through your digestive tract, the camera takes thousands of pictures that are transmitted to a recorder you wear on a belt around your waist.

Endoscopy

An endoscopy is a procedure used to visually examine your upper digestive system with a tiny camera on the end of a long, flexible tube.

IV Infusion Therapy

Infusion refers to the administration of medications directly into a vein through a needle or catheter.

Advanced Endo

Advanced Endoscopy is a subspecialty within gastroenterology dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of digestive diseases using endoscopy tools available in a hospital setting.

Gastroesophageal Reflux (gerd)

Gastroesophageal reflux disease occurs when stomach acid frequently flows back into the tube connecting your mouth and stomach (esophagus). This backwash (acid reflux) can irritate the lining of your esophagus.

Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) is a chronic condition of the digestive system. Symptoms include abdominal pain and altered bowel habits. IBS is the most commonly diagnosed GI condition and is second only to the common cold as a cause for missing work.

Colon polyps are growths on the lining of your colon or large intestine and usually protrude into the colon. Colon polyps are very common and most are harmless. Over time, some colon polyps can develop into colon cancer.

Modern colonoscopy is a diagnostic procedure to examine the colon or large intestine. Over the past 30 years, it has become a gold standard in screening for colon polyps and prevention of colorectal cancer. With modern methods of sedation and newer computerized flexible instruments, most exams are quick, painless, and very safe. Your doctor will prescribe the prep that is right for you.

  • Two Dulcolax (Bisacodyl) tablets (these are over the counter)

  • One bottle of Miralax (over the counter-510 gram bottle)
  • One bottle Gatorade-(64 ounce) any color EXCEPT red. Use diet Gatorade if diabetic
